A modern kitchen from Metris in high gloss Beech and Linear Wenge
Our clients wanted somewhere open and warm where they could relax with their family and friends. This kitchen features a spacious island in the centre, complete with informal seating area, it also has a dining table at one end so is fit for all functions and events.
The clients fell in love with a simple yet stunning high gloss Inzo door from Metris in Beech, this combined with a contrasting Linear Wenge as a trim keeps the room feeling warm and homely. The simple, yet timeless accessories chosen by the clients add a homely touch to the room and make it feel welcoming. Large larder units at one end frame a tall American-style black fridge freezer.
The worktop is a stunning polished Uba Tuba Granite, this complements both the light beech doors, and the darker, contrasting Linear Wenge. The pattern is an interesting speckled pattern, which adds interest and texture to the kitchen.
The appliances chosen by the clients for this kitchen are from Caple and include a single oven and microwave, integrated into a mid-height unit with a drawer underneath for extra storage. An induction hob is placed on the island, so that the cook can interact and converse with guests sat at the seating area whilst cooking.
The sink is a stainless steel, bowl and a half undermount sink from Caple, the tap is an elegant curved tap also from Caple. The sink and tap are positioned in the corner directly facing the large window so that our clients can enjoy the lovely view whilst washing up.
Julie & Andrew Design Tip
‘Julie and Andrew wanted a kitchen that was open but homely for friends and family to enjoy. Their space was transformed as our designer chose to feature a Linear Wenge trim to contrast high gloss doors. A spacious island has also been used, that has both informal and formal dining areas.’
