Painted Kitchen Huddersfield 3

Painted Kitchen in Huddersfield
A traditional kitchen in Alabaster and oak from Second Nature.
These clients wanted a very traditional, country style kitchen, but also something that didn’t look outdated. They had quite a large space and wanted to keep it light and open. A large window across one wall provides much of the light for this room, and a combination of light wood and painted doors keep the kitchen looking bright and welcoming. A peninsula extends usable worksurface space as provides the perfect seating area for guests whilst entertaining. A small, cleverly designed utility space holds a washing machine, dryer and a handy wine rack above.
The clients fell in love with Second Nature’s Cornell classic doors in Alabaster with a stunning oak trim, mantle and pilasters. The large oak mantle surrounding the range makes a beautiful feature and really adds to the traditional style of this kitchen. On the opposite wall are a bank of floor-to-ceiling larder units which house the ovens. These are gradually set back to make a stunning, yet unusual feature in the kitchen. Small glass fronted doors at the top of the middle section and an extra reflective quality to the doors.
The worktop is a polished Caesarstone in Caramel which is extended to upstands and below the windowsill. The light brown worktop complements the oak trim perfectly and goes well with the colour scheme chosen by the clients, especially the tiles chosen for behind the range cooker.
The range is a Falcon in Cream, looking wonderful next to the Alabaster doors and under the traditional oak mantle. The clients also went for a Bosch steam oven and microwave, both integrated at eye line into the bank of larder units opposite the range. An integrated extractor from Bosch sits above the range, hidden by the mantle.
The sink is a Caple Dune Granite sink, positioned in front of the large window so our clients can enjoy a lovely view whilst washing the dishes. A curved Avel tap by Caple is elegant and timeless, perfect for this traditional kitchen. A boiling water tap from Insinkerator eliminates our clients’ need for a kettle.
A LeMans corner pull-out means our clients can reach the awkward space in the corner units easily and a pull-out larder unit provides much needed organised storage.
We were delighted with the service provided, from design to completion. Milligan and Jessop showed true flair in the design, delivering a product which satisfied all of our needs, and was installed on time, on budget, and to the very highest standards. We have already introduced good friends, whose kitchen has now been installed, and they, too, have been tremendously impressed.
