Our clients wanted something traditional and homely, so were sure about sticking with a wood door. The inframe doors add a classiness to the room, and combined with some modern appliances, the room feels traditional and timeless.
The doors are an inframe Milton Oak door by Second Nature which fits the traditional and homely specification perfectly. It is a shaker style door so classic and timeless as well. The oak is dark enough to keep the room feeling traditional, whilst light enough to make the room not feel overbearing. Some tall larder units provide extra storage and the perfect place for integrated appliances.
The worktop is a stunning polished African Black Granite which is extended to upstands, windowsill and a large splashback to protect the walls from splashes during cooking. The plain black granite has small flecks of sparkles in, and looks stunning next to the oak inframe doors, keeping the kitchen sleek yet traditional.
The clients went with predominantly Bosch appliances, including a single oven, gas hob, extractor and microwave. The oven is built under the gas hob, keeping the traditional style of a freestanding cooker. The extractor is a combination of stainless steel and black, complementing the granite worktop and making a feature of the cooking area.
The sink is a Belfast sink from Reginox, which looks at home in a traditional style kitchen. The elegant, curved tap is from Caple and also fits right in with the look of the room. The sink is positioned directly in front of the window so our clients can enjoy the view whilst washing the dishes.
